About the Role

We're looking for an entry-level Reporting Accountant to join our growing Logistics Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their career, with a clear progression path to a Finance Manager role as the team expands.

Supporting logistics operations with an annual turnover of around£140m across21 UK sites, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, balance sheet control, cost management and providing insightful management information to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end reporting, including journals and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and KPI reporting.
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Support logistics cost reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Manage Asset Under Construction (AUC) records and fixed asset accounting.
  • Assist with capital expenditure reporting and purchase order approvals.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and support audit requirements.
  • Partner with operational teams to improve processes and provide financial insight.

About You

Ideally you will have an accounting background and are part qualified within your ACCA or CIMA qualifications.

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Studying towards ACCA/CIMA or AAT qualified (or equivalent).
  • Experience with month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills and SAP experience.
  • Highly organised with excellent analytical and communication skills.
