The Role
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our finance team at 2 Sisters Food Group.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in providing accurate financial information, operational performance analysis and meaningful insight to support business decisions. Your work will help drive profitability, improve cost control, identify efficiencies and enhance overall site performance.
This is a varied role that combines traditional management accounting responsibilities with a strong operational focus. You'll work closely with colleagues across Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial and wider site teams, helping them understand financial performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Working within a fast-paced, high-volume food processing environment, you'll develop an in-depth understanding of our products, processes and operational challenges, supporting a modern manufacturing facility supplying high-quality cooked products to some of the UK's leading retailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial analysis and operational performance information to support business decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cost control and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and Commercial teams to understand performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Translate complex financial information into clear, meaningful insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Support the wider finance function in delivering accurate and timely management information.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues across the site and Group, including the Site Senior Leadership Team, Operations Management and Group Executive Management.
- Deputise for the Head of Finance when required, taking responsibility for matters within the Management Accounting function.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Confidence presenting financial information, challenging figures and constructively questioning performance.
- A proactive approach, with the drive to identify opportunities for improvement and add value beyond traditional accounting responsibilities.
