Job Responsibilities
- Cooking of raw ingredients in boilers / kettles to agreed recipes to supply safe and quality product.
- Safe operation of cooking vessels, adhering to Health & Safety procedures and cleaning policies.
- Recording accurate traceability information.
- Operation of any other preparation equipment required for the role.
- Any other reasonable duties applicable to the grade.
- Safe working practices following Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Work.
- Cook and deliver a quality product, following recipes and adhering to CCP's (Critical Control Points).
- Follow all relevant site policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean working environment, following the cleaning schedule and 'clean as you go'.
- Accurate recording of traceability information to satisfy audit requirements.
- Ensure cooks are made correctly, on time, every time to lessen any re-work or waste inefficiencies.
Training & Certifications
- CIEH Level 2 Health & Safety (training will be provided)
- CIEH Level 2 Food Safety for Manufacturing (training will be provided)
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience of working in a preparation area is desirable.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, after training.
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
- Requirement for heavy lifting, pushing and pulling within site manual handling limits.
