We currently have exciting opportunities for Portion Line Leader to join the team in Flixton.
The hours of work and shift pattern is:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday β 5am - 3:30pm
- Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday β 5am - 3:30pm
- Week 3: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday β 5am - 3:30pm
The rates of pay are: Β£14.93
Main Responsibilities:
- To ensure the picking, scanning, wrapping, loading and labelling is of a consistently high standard to the specification and standards required by the company and our customer.
- To comply at all times with legal obligations associated with food safety and Health & Safety in the workplace.
- To fully contribute to the effective performance of the team to operate within efficiency standards set for the department.
- To ensure all dates are correct in line with company and customer specifications and the quality is at the correct standard on wishbone and retail products ready for packing.
- To ensure that customer labels are in place and full traceability is available and setting up of machines ready for production run and reporting breakdown issues.
- Detailed checks on the product quality to ensure it is at the correct standard.
- All documents are up to date with the correct information, destination, product, delivery day/date and quantity on pallet.
- To ensure standards are being followed along with SOP and the team is managed on a daily basis.
- To ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained throughout the shift.
- To comply with Health & Safety legislation/procedure, safe systems of work whilst carrying out your duties.
- To ensure all PPE is correctly worn and to adhere to Health & Hygiene rules.
- To comply with standards of personal hygiene and food safety laid down in company regulations/procedures.
- Carry out job-related tasks on an ad-hoc basis as and when required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualifications: Level 3 Food Safety, Level 3 HACCP (it is preferable but not essential).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in a Food Manufacturing environment, previous experience working in a QA function considered essential, demonstrable experience of managing a team and developing people, good knowledge of cleaning practices.
- Skills: Good communication skills and attention to detail, able to influence at all levels, excellent written and spoken English, good IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, ability to communicate professionally at all levels from customers and auditors to factory colleagues and company management, able to prioritise & organise own workload and work to time deadlines, self-motivated and highly resilient, ability to problem solve and influence in a fast-paced environment with sometimes conflicting priorities.
