Are you an experienced Quality Assurance Officer looking for a new challenge or someone looking to progress their food manufacturing career in a new direction? We are looking for 3 QAs to join the technical team at our Scunthorpe plant. We offer a stable work environment, excellent training and opportunities for career advancement. The role of QA is the perfect opportunity for you to kick start your technical career with one of the largest food manufacturing plants in the country. We have an excellent track record of recognising, nurturing and developing our workforce.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, customer requirements and company policies.
  • Monitor and record production activities to ensure adherence to specification.
  • Verify and record process controls to ensure defined tolerances are followed and act when not.
  • Ensure that technical / QA information is observed, recorded and communicated effectively.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and confidence with respect to food safety.
  • Collection of samples and swabs.
  • GMP supervisory checks.
  • Ensure technical equipment is handled and used in an appropriate manner, including signing in and out toolboxes and equipment, daily verification against inventory list.

This post is working a 2-week rotating shift pattern:

  • WEEK 1 - Monday to Saturday; 06:00-14:30 (full week Gross £665.41)
  • WEEK 2 – Monday to Friday; 14:30-23:00 (full week Gross £536.62)

The rate of pay is £14.00 per hour (£16.80ph Sat).

  • A clear understanding of food safety/hygiene and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Competent Allergen knowledge.
  • HACCP Food Safety Level 3.

The Scunthorpe site is a whole bird processing site, we process everything, nothing goes to waste. We have a strong multicultural workforce; you’ll hear many languages on a daily basis. But we work together, communication might not always be verbal, but we make it work as a team. The working environment is chilled and loud; we provide all necessary PPE but advise you wear layers to ensure you’re comfortable.
