Come and join us! We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Despatch Continental Operative to join our team in Scunthorpe. This post is working a 3 on 3 off shift pattern. The hours of work and shift patterns are 3 on 3 off, 06:00 - 18:00/18:00 - 06:00. The rate of pay is: £15.00 per hour.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Load vehicles with correct product to meet customer order specifications.
  • Safely unload and load vehicles.
  • Ensure any discrepancies are identified and rectified before closing load.
  • Keep accurate and legible records.
  • Be trained to operate a fork lift truck or electric palletiser.
  • Convey wrapped pallets to floor scales for weighing.
  • Accountable for ensuring hygiene expectations are met and followed appropriately; you will be responsible for keeping the respected area clean and tidy.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure they are followed in full in order to avoid any potential hazards and injuries to themselves or colleagues.
  • Ensure all pallets to be loaded are labelled correctly and adequately wrapped.
  • Ensure load is safe and secure before despatching trailer.
  • Anything else required to complete your role successfully.

This is a physical role that involves interacting with other members of staff and working as a team. This role requires you to stand for most of the day.
