We are looking for a Compliance Auditor to join our Technical team at Thetford. To ensure effective monitoring of personnel, visitors, and contractors’ conduct on site, as well as compliance with Food Safety Culture and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Role details
This post is working NIGHTS. The hours of work and shift patterns are: 4 on 4 off Days 18.00 - 06.00. The rate of pay is: £14.40ph (10% night shift allowance between 2200 - 0600).
Responsibilities
- Monitor food safety and GMP compliance on CCTV camera screens (all cameras, all areas) and walking the floor physically verifying conformance against site rules and engaging with team leaders and area managers to resolve potential issues.
- Continuous monitoring even when the factory areas are on break as line clearance and hygiene activities may be taking place at this time.
- Maintaining an accurate log of monitoring activities and any breaches observed.
- Challenge and support when non-compliant practices are observed.
- Record observations of non-compliant practices and actions taken on a database.
- Monitor the implementation of any new ways of working or improvement actions.
- Ensure swift resolution of issues or escalation to management as appropriate.
Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Have an excellent understanding of site GMP rules and be able to explain the reasoning behind these rules to operators, supervisors, and managers.
- Previous experience in QA or QC roles is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Be able to speak and write English very well.
- Be confident in engaging with teams at all levels and proactive in preventing significant GMP breaches.
- Be focused on continuous improvement, driving efficiencies, and supporting lean processes.
- Be results‑driven.
- Be a strong, confident communicator.
