We currently have exciting opportunities for the Production Stock Administrator to join the team in West Bromwich site D. The hours of work and shift patterns are: Monday - Friday 08:00- 16:00. The rates of pay are: £13.72.
Main ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Factory Manager, you will ensure stock accuracy, control wastage, and align stock availability with production and planning. You will be a key player in optimising our stock control processes, reducing inefficiencies, and ensuring correct stocks are published. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Manage stock levels for both bulk raw materials and retail finished products, ensuring correct date rotation is followed.
- Oversee regular stock counts, including cycle counting and full stock audits, ensuring accuracy in stock records.
- Coordinate stock replacements according to the plan and keep the correct stock controls of materials incoming from suppliers.
- Monitor and document all stock movements within the factory chillers, ensuring full traceability of stock.
- Maintain communication with production management.
- Investigate stock discrepancies, working closely with relevant teams to resolve issues quickly and accurately.
- Produce and analyse stock reports to provide insights into stock usage, wastage, and forecasting.
- Implement and continuously improve stock control systems and processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure all stock control activities adhere to relevant health, safety, and food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the technical team and investigate traceability of material.
- Proven experience in stock control or inventory management, ideally with both raw materials and retail products.
- Strong knowledge of stock control systems and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
- Familiarity with food industry regulations, especially around raw material handling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
