1X2 Network, the multi-award winning iGaming supplier, is looking for a Node Developer. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, this is an opportunity to join a highly creative, rapidly expanding independent software company.

We supply a broad array of over 750 games to Casino operators worldwide. Across its studios, 1X2 produces a variety of games; including slots, table games, virtual sports and non-traditional gaming experiences.
Our team at 1X2 develops and distributes games to thousands of online casinos around the world- including a wide range of household brands such as William Hill and BetVictor, alongside the iGaming industry's largest content aggregators Entain, Games Global and Bet Construct.

The Position
As a Node.js Developer, you will be responsible for developing features and maintaining server-side services. You will work closely with front-end developers and other team members to ensure seamless integration of the server-side logic with the client-side features. The role will require expertise in JavaScript, specifically within the Node.js ecosystem, as well as knowledge of back-end frameworks, databases, and RESTful API development.
Responsibilities
- Identify and analyse user requirements
- Prioritise and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle
- Write well-designed, efficient code
- Review, test and debug team members’ code
- Design database architecture
- Coordinate product releases with internal teams
- Investigate alerts, enhancing application and database performance
- Maintain and update our current integration portfolio as they evolve their APIs
- Collaborate with database administrators for schema improvements
- Develop new applications collaboratively
- Identify and resolve codebase security vulnerabilities
- Provide after-hours support during critical issues
- Manage and develop multiple codebases in different languages (i.e., Golang, Java etc)
- Remain up to date with modern technologies and development practices
- Promote a solid development principle
- Review and suggest improvement for the current dev flow with your team leader
Required Experience
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, Typescript and Vanilla JavaScript
- Experience working with Golang
- Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL and NoSQL databases (e.g Redis, MongoDb)
- Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git and experience with collaborative development workflows
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and writing unit tests for Node.js applications
- Understanding of web application security principles and best practices
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues
