The Role
As a member of the Maths Team, you will be involved in the production, maintenance, and data analysis of online and retail slot games. Responsibilities include developing original game concepts, running Monte Carlo simulations, and playtesting games using our internal demo engine. You will collaborate with Back-End and Front-End Development teams during game creation, and with Data and Operations teams following release to monitor and review live games. Day-to-day responsibilities may include monitoring existing products, conducting internal playtesting and reviews, developing tools in Java or Python, and solving complex mathematical problems to meet specific requirements. Creativity and a strong understanding of probability, statistics, and player engagement are essential to ensure games meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Focus on the designing, developing, and delivering of new slot titles and other iGaming specific games.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, communicating progress clearly and delivering satisfactory results within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain and monitor existing and newly released games, using the resulting data to drive development going forward.
- Collaborate with colleagues to test and refine new game concepts.
Required Experience
- Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Engineering, or Physics).
- Strong knowledge of combinatorics, probability theory, and quantitative analysis.
- Experience running Monte Carlo simulations, including interpreting data and refining models accordingly.
- Intermediate experience of the Java programming language and with Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- Prior experience working with slot game mathematics.
- Ability to write and communicate clearly using formal mathematical notation and terminology.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with modular design patterns.
- Interest in and knowledge of slot games, with an understanding of current market trends.
