About 1X2 Network
1X2 Network has been pioneering virtual gaming products since 2002 and is now at the forefront of game development. We release an average of four new titles per month and have produced over 200 titles, including Virtual Sports, Table Games, Slots, Instant Win, and Multiplayer games within the iGaming industry.
The 1X2 Network consists of several brands, each targeting specific market niches. Our two primary brands are Iron Dog Studio and 1X2gaming, alongside a number of additional partners available across the network.
1X2 Network has two UK locations: our headquarters in Brighton, Sussex and an additional office in Brentwood, Essex. We also have offices in Malta and Hyderabad, as well as remote team members across the globe.
We work with energy and passion, producing and distributing successful mobile and online casino games. Our dedication is complemented by a variety of social activities and company events. Occasional travel may be required to attend industry festivals and networking events.
As a member of the Maths Team, you will be involved in the production, maintenance, and data analysis of online and retail slot games. Responsibilities include:
- Developing original game concepts
- Running Monte Carlo simulations
- Playtesting games using our internal demo engine
- Collaborating with Back-End and Front-End Development teams during game creation
- Monitoring and reviewing live games with Data and Operations teams following release
Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Monitoring existing products
- Conducting internal playtesting and reviews
- Developing tools in Java or Python
- Solving complex mathematical problems to meet specific requirements
Creativity and a strong understanding of probability, statistics, and player engagement are essential to ensure games meet the highest quality standards. Focus on the designing, developing, and delivering of new slot titles and other iGaming specific games. Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, communicating progress clearly and delivering satisfactory results within agreed deadlines. Maintain and monitor existing and newly released games, using the resulting data to drive development going forward. Collaborate with colleagues to test and refine new game concepts.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Engineering, or Physics)
- Strong knowledge of combinatorics, probability theory, and quantitative analysis
- Experience running Monte Carlo simulations, including interpreting data and refining models accordingly
- Intermediate experience of the Java programming language and with Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
- Prior experience working with slot game mathematics
- Proficiency in Python and experience with modular design patterns
- Interest in and knowledge of slot games, with an understanding of current market trends
- Translates complex game concepts into balanced and well-structured mathematical models
