About 1X2 Network: 1X2 Network has pioneered iGaming development for over 2 decades and now encompasses a number of game development studio subsidiaries. We supply a broad array of over 750 games to Casino operators worldwide. Our team at 1X2 develops and distributes games to thousands of online casinos around the world, including a wide range of household brands such as William Hill and BetVictor, alongside the iGaming industry's largest content aggregators Entain, Games Global and Bet Construct. 1X2 HQ is based in Brighton UK, with further office locations in Shenfield, Hyderabad and Malta; as well as remote employees around the world.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications, contributing to the full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment and beyond. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality Java applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Participate in agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the team
Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a Java Developer, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Proficiency in Java SE (Standard Edition) and Java EE (Enterprise Edition)
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similar
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services
- Familiarity with SQL and databases such as MySQL
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
- Understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular or React
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes
- Exposure to DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
