1to1 Group are recruiting for a Receptionist for one of our clients in Basingstoke. This will involve all reception duties, phone calls, correspondence and enquiries delivered in an efficient and proactive manner. The role includes the coordination of office facilities, including meeting room management and stationary orders.

Role Details:

  • Basingstoke
  • £27,000- £31,000
  • Permanent
  • Monday to Thursday 8am- 5pm, Friday 8am- 4pm

Role Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet visitors on arrival and take responsibility for the signing in & checking out.
  • Respond to incoming calls politely, quickly and efficiently, transferring to relevant departments and ensuring any messages are relayed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the reception area is kept clean and tidy.
  • Management of the building and site.
  • Ensure meeting rooms and areas are clean and tidy and arrange repairs for faulty equipment.
  • Print and display weekly meeting room calendars and make revisions as required.
  • Monitor and maintain levels of stationery.
  • Book PAT testing, electricians, air conditioning engineers, boiler servicing and plumbers when required, raising purchase orders.
  • PC, telephone and monitor cleaning, raising relevant purchase orders.
  • Assume role Fire Marshal in the office and test both the fire and intruder alarms on a weekly basis.
  • Manage the email inbox and resolve the enquiry or pass to the appropriate person.
  • Open and date stamp all non-confidential mail and distribute to the relevant team member.
  • Book couriers as required, raising necessary purchase orders.
  • Provide cover daily after 14:30 and throughout the day during periods of sickness and holidays to provide day-to-day management of company vehicles.
  • Contribute toward the organisation and planning of activities for employees, including parties, raffles and charity activities, birthday cards and other special occasions.
  • Provide administrative support as required to other parts of the business when needed.
  • Complete tasks for Starters and Leavers as required.

Role Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient verbal and written English with good attention to detail.
  • IT proficient with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • High standards of personal presentation at all times.
  • Experience working in a busy office supporting 50+ employees.
