Infrastructure Engineer
MSP - 3rd Line - Escalations - Projects
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Stockport. This is a great opportunity to work across a variety of client environments, supporting and delivering infrastructure, networking, and cloud projects.
Role Overview
- Support and maintain on-premise and cloud infrastructure across multiple client environments.
- Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualisation technologies.
- Support datacentre infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
- Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, VPNs, and network connectivity.
- Administer Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technical projects.
- Act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
Requirements
- Proven Infrastructure Engineer experience, ideally within an MSP.
- Strong knowledge of on-premise infrastructure, Windows Server, VMware and/or Hyper-V.
- Hands-on datacentre, server, and storage experience.
- Solid networking skills, including firewalls, VLANs, routing, switching, and VPNs.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Azure.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and client-facing skills.
