Responsibilities
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of foster carers, adopters, and kinship/connected persons within agreed timescales.
- Complete annual reviews and present reports to relevant panels.
- Prepare court and tribunal reports and attend hearings as required.
- Provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and support to carers to ensure high standards of care.
- Contribute to permanency planning, family finding, and matching processes.
- Deliver and support training programmes such as Skills to Foster and Preparation to Adopt.
- Promote placement stability and positive outcomes for children, including those with complex needs or trauma backgrounds.
- Work collaboratively with carers, families, and multi-agency professionals.
- Participate in duty rotas, including out-of-hours work when required.

Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree/Diploma in Social Work, CQSW or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in fostering, adoption, or family placement work.
- Strong understanding of childcare legislation, fostering/adoption standards, and best practice.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and therapeutic parenting approaches.
- Full driving licence.
