Responsibilities:

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of foster carers, adopters, and kinship/connected persons within agreed timescales.
  • Complete annual reviews and present reports to relevant panels.
  • Prepare court and tribunal reports and attend hearings as required.
  • Provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and support to carers to ensure high standards of care.
  • Contribute to permanency planning, family finding, and matching processes.
  • Deliver and support training programmes such as Skills to Foster and Preparation to Adopt.
  • Promote placement stability and positive outcomes for children, including those with complex needs or trauma backgrounds.
  • Work collaboratively with carers, families, and multi-agency professionals.
  • Participate in duty rotas, including out-of-hours work when required.

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and therapeutic parenting approaches.
  • Full driving licence.
