1st Step Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing organisation within the Building Services sector, for an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead and maintain the company's Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality systems.

This is a key role responsible for ensuring compliance with UK legislation, ISO standards and industry best practice, while promoting a strong and proactive safety culture across the business.

The Role
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Health & Safety Management System
  • Develop and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Carry out site inspections and SHEQ audits across operational projects
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions
  • Prepare SHEQ performance reports for senior leadership
  • Deliver health & safety training, toolbox talks and awareness sessions
  • Maintain ISO accreditation documentation (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, Safe Contractor, CHAS)
  • Monitor environmental performance, waste management and sustainability initiatives
  • Support the corporate risk register and internal audit cycle
Requirements
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Experience managing ISO management systems and compliance processes
  • Proven experience conducting site inspections and audits
