Mechanical Project Manager (Intermediate) Office Location: Nottinghamshire Employment status: Permanent Salary: £40k – £50k (+ company car or allowance) Sector: Commercial building services projects (typically values £100k – £1m) Job Overview The client/employer are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects – new build & refurbishments on offices, education, defence, student accommodation. The ideal candidate will be looking to take the next step in their career progression and will already have developed some good leadership skills and understanding of site operations. As a developing Project Manager, you will be responsible (with the support from senior colleagues) for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with various teams, manage resources effectively, and maintain compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities * Oversee daily site operations and ensure adherence to project timelines. * Manage and supervise site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers. * Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work. * Implement health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. * Prepare reports on project status, including progress updates and resource allocation. * Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed. * Ensure effective time management across all aspects of the project. Experience * Previous experience within the Construction industry, maybe as a Supervisor, Chargehand or Project Engineer or Junior Project Manager * Strong knowledge of mechanical installation processes (plumbing & heating systems), materials, and technical knowledge. * Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to help manage teams. * Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently under pressure.
