1st Step Solutions are seeking an experienced and proactive Mechanical Package Manager to oversee ductwork and mechanical/HVAC packages within a large-scale commercial project.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, maintaining clear communication and strong professional relationships.
- Plan, execute, and monitor all stages of ductwork projects, through to final handover.
- Organise and manage labour resources, materials, and site demands for efficient project delivery.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations and industry standards, including preparing and reviewing Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks on installations, ensuring work aligns with project specifications and drawings.
- Provide technical advice and troubleshooting support related to ductwork installation, fabrication, and HVAC systems.
Requirements:
- ONC/HNC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent professional experience is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as an in-date CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS are preferred.
- Proven experience within the ductwork, HVAC, or building services sectors is essential.
- Mechanical qualification.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage and supervise site teams.
