1st Step Solutions are supporting a leading Tier 1 M&E Contractor who have an opportunity for a M&E Project Lead to be based on a newly secured commercial project in Enford.
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in project management, particularly within the commercial sector or similar related projects with values between £30 - £40mil. Ideally, you will have experience of demonstrating responsibility for full Contract Management at this level.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, control, and ensure delivery against the project budgets including profit, preliminaries and procurements.
- Implement detailed programmes and schedules which allow accurate monitoring and reporting of progress.
- Secure and manage the appropriate resources to deliver the project/scheme effectively and efficiently in a professional manner to ensure successful delivery within project constraints.
- Implement and manage the development of the Project Quality Plan, Trade Quality Plans, and Defect rectification procedures.
- Ensure there is a successful and smooth handover of the project, including support to customer/end user throughout the handover process.
Requirements:
- CSCS/SMSTS.
- Mechanical or electrical bias.
- HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering desirable.
- Experience of working at a senior level on M&E projects, as well as ideally having had responsibility for full contract management.
- Effective communicator at all levels.
- Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
- Good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office.
- Be aware of health and safety requirements and the continual assessment/control of risk.
- Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
