1st Step Solutions are supporting one of our clients who have an opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team based in London.\\n\\nOur client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy of 65-70 professionals, specialising in MEP services and building consultancy. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within a supportive team.\\n\\nThe Role\\nThis is a varied role combining high-quality mechanical design work with hands-on site involvement. In addition to design responsibilities, you will regularly attend site to survey plantrooms, contribute to CAPEX planning, and produce project estimate schedules.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n* Mechanical design across a range of building services projects\\n* Surveying plantrooms and existing installations\\n* Supporting CAPEX planning and project scoping\\n* Preparing cost estimates and project schedules\\n* Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders\\n\\nAbout You\\n* Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline\\n* Proven experience in mechanical design (building services/environment preferred)\\n* Comfortable carrying out site surveys and working independently\\n* Based in, or able to commute within, Greater London\\n* Organised, practical, and commercially aware\\n\\nPackage\\n* Competitive salary \\n* Relaxed, friendly working environment\\n* Hybrid working / work-from-home policy\\n* Good benefits and perks\\n* Excellent CPD and professional development opportunities
