We are currently recruiting for a permanent role that would suit an Electrical Supervisor looking to make the next move upwards or an established Electrical Project Manager capable of managing small but fast track commercial projects.

Required:

  • Electrical Contracts Manager

Work/Project Locations: South West/South Wales/South Coast/South East

Salary: up to 58k p/a

Holiday: Initially 22 days & 8 Bank Holidays, additional 3 days accumulated over 3 years.

Additional information:

  • End of year performance related bonus (typically 4-5k).

Job Role: To manage Electrical projects within the retail sector (small supermarkets). Projects will include refits and refreshes across the South, typical project values are circa 160k and duration of projects range from 3-4 weeks on a store update and 12 weeks for a new one.

Duties:

  • Deliver end-to-end project management, ensuring scope, budget, and client expectations are consistently met.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and maintain accurate internal/external reporting.
  • Engage clients for design feedback and approval submissions.
  • Plan programmes of work with the client contacts, establishing milestones and deliverables.
  • Monitor financial control, including variations, and keep accurate budget records.
  • Procure labour, subcontractors, materials, and equipment within budget.
  • Prepare detailed work instructions and ensure installation teams are fully briefed.
  • Conduct audits on site activities and suppliers, raising and mitigating non-conformances.
  • Undertake final quality audits and submit accurate documentation for client/DNO approval.
  • Promote and enforce a culture of Health, Safety & Quality across all project activities.
  • Represent the company professionally, supporting repeat business opportunities.
  • Provide photographs and documentation for case studies and client satisfaction reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • CSCS Card (ideally ECS Gold or Black version)
  • Electrical qualifications
  • SSSTS or SMSTS (or willing to complete the 2 or 5 days courses)
  • Full Driving Licence

Relevant/required Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience of working as an Electrical Supervisor or Project Manager on commercial projects and ideally/new builds.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to forward plan.
  • Confident decision-maker, capable of working under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to coordinate site activities and ensure safety for all personnel.

The business has a long standing client base and typically T/o is 12m p/a working on commercial, industrial, education, retail and healthcare sectors of construction.
