Our client, a leading M&E contractor, is delivering a major Industrial/Commercial project just south of Bristol and is looking to appoint ELV Project Managers and ELV Project Engineers to oversee the delivery of a complex Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) package. These roles are critical to the successful coordination and management of a wide range of ELV systems on a high-profile, multi-system site. You will be responsible for supervising subcontractors, ensuring installation quality, and maintaining programme compliance throughout the life-cycle of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of ELV systems across the project
- Manage and supervise subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
- Coordinate site activity and scheduling to align with overall project milestones
- Conduct inspections and support quality assurance processes
- Monitor health & safety, especially in live or high-risk environments - this includes ensuring all activities are aligned with CDM regulations and other relevant standards
- Assist in developing and implementing RAMS, method statements, and safe systems of work
- Support and mentor apprentices or junior engineers as needed
ELV Systems Involved (not limited to):
- CCTV Surveillance
- Access Control & Door Entry
- Fire Alarm & Detection (including VESDA and aspirating systems)
- Disabled Refuge / Emergency Voice Communication Systems (EVCS)
- Intercom & Video Entry Systems
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven track record in managing subcontractors on large-scale, complex construction or infrastructure projects
- Substantial experience managing or supervising ELV packages on large-scale commercial or industrial projects, with a strong understanding of the ELV systems involved
- Strong knowledge of ELV systems across commercial environments
- Experience working in live or sensitive environments (e.g. operational buildings, healthcare, data centres, etc.)
- Familiarity with NEC contract frameworks is highly desirable
Desired Qualifications & Certifications:
- HNC in Electrical Building Services
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Installations or equivalent
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- CSCS card (mandatory); SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
- Valid First Aid & Confined Space Training (preferred)
