1st Step Solutions are supporting a leading M&E Contractor who have opportunities for Electrical Supervisors & Electrical Site Managers, to be project based in Bristol for the next 5-7 years.

Required: Electrical Supervisors & Site Managers (Building Services)

Employment: Permanent (full time)

Location (Office & Project): Bristol

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Salary: up to £70k p/a

Project Details

  • Location: South Bristol (BS41 postcode)
  • Duration: at least 5 years on this phase of work, but potentially an additional 2-3 years with further phases.
  • Start date: ASAP

Job Role Summary

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in Supervision or Site Management within the construction industry and specifically for an Electrical contractor, particularly within the commercial sector or similar related large projects.

Typical Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise electricians and subcontractors
  • Coordinate and oversee the completion of installation works, ensuring all works are completed to specification.
  • Ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with current regulations and project standards.
  • Monitor quality, productivity, and programme to keep works on schedule.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and toolbox talks.
  • Coordinate with the site management team and other trades to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Review drawings and identify any issues before installation.
  • Ensure all snagging items are completed and signed off.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and project handover.

'Ideal' Requirements:

  • ECS Card.
  • SSSTS OR SMSTS
  • Experience of working as Supervisor or Site Manager on commercial construction projects, specifically Electrical works.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
  • Good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Be aware of health and safety requirements and the continual assessment/control of risk.
  • Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff & sub-contractors.
