Required: Electrical Project Manager (Intermediate -> Experienced) Project Location: West Suffolk (IP27) Employment status: Permanent Salary: £40k – £55k (+ company car or allowance) Sector: Commercial medium and large new/refurbishment construction projects (£200k – £2m) Job Overview The client/employer are seeking an Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects – new build & refurbishments. Your first project for this Nottinghamshire based business is to manage a Military Accommodation Block refurbishment valued at circa £1.5m in electrical services. Initial duties whilst waiting for the project to commence will include pre con for your project along with temporarily assisting with estimation and managing some smaller projects until the MoD project requires your attention full time. During this period your working time will be split with working from home and some time in the offices in Nottinghamshire. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with various teams, manage resources effectively, and maintain compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities * Oversee daily site operations and ensure adherence to project timelines. * Manage and supervise site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers. * Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work. * Implement health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. * Prepare reports on project status, including progress updates and resource allocation. * Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed. * Ensure effective time management across all aspects of the project. Experience * Previous experience within the Construction industry, maybe as a Supervisor, Chargehand or Project Engineer or Junior Project Manager * Strong knowledge of electrical installation processes, materials, and technical knowledge. * Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to help manage teams. * Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently under pressure.
