Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter / Heating Engineer

We are currently recruiting for the following permanent role with an established South Wales based commercial Plumbing and Heating contractor. Required: Commercial Plumber/Pipefitter/Heating Engineer Employment: Full time & permanent Office/Business location: Cardiff Work location: Typically working away most weeks Type of project: Hospital, Pub, Hotels & Restaurant Chains. Pay rate: £18p/hr (working away), £16p/hr (working locally) Typical site hours: 12hrs p/day (Mon – Thurs) & 8hrs p/day on the Friday (which is typically the travel home day, this day is also paid at £16p/hr) Travel time: when working away from home, you\’re paid door to door. Typical salary (based on working away): up to £55k p/a if away all year Overtime rates: Saturday (time & one half) & Sunday (double time), however the company try to not work weekends where possible Holiday entitlement: 28days (including Bank Holidays) – 7days to be used over Xmas. Vehicle: Van & fuel card (insurance policy stipulates must be over 25 for vehicle use). The company do encourage vehicle sharing when travelling. Travel expenses: The employer/company will pay for Airbnb/Apartments for the team to share or Hotels. £20p/n (x4 nights) for food allowance. Type of work: 1st & 2nd fix copper, solder and mapress, plastic, sanitary installations, some screwed iron occasionally, boiler/water heater installations and ventilation Qualifications required: Ideally a Blue or Gold CSCS Card. The company: Established for over 25 years working on commercial installations, covering Air Source Heat Pumps, Air Con, Ventilation, Plant rooms, Rainwater, Biomass, Underfloor heating, Hot & Cold services and drainage.
