An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier one M&E Installation Contractor working on large-scale Government led projects across multiple sectors. The Role as a Senior Quantity Surveyor will include:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of project finances.
  • Working closely with site teams to mitigate financial and contractual risks.
  • Experience of NEC / JCT Projects.
  • Oversee commercial aspects of multiple MEP projects.
  • Produce accurate monthly cost/value reports and forecasts.
  • Liaise with Contracts Managers on project commercial performance.
  • Supervise and mentor junior commercial staff.
  • Prepare and review sub-contracts and negotiate terms.
  • Submit main contract applications and ensure timely cash collection.
  • Support final account negotiation and settlement.
  • Assist with pre-construction commercial input and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal procedures.
  • Conduct subcontractor performance reviews and ensure timely payments.
  • Contribute to dispute avoidance and resolution.
  • Coordinate and lead commercial meetings.

Qualifications / experience required:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Background in commercial project delivery with values around 50m.
  • Good understanding of MEP works within the construction sector - either electrically or mechanically biased.
