Overview
In this Health & Safety Advisor role, you will provide expert HSE support to management, project teams, and site operatives on London projects. You will be a visible safety presence, guiding risk controls and fostering a positive safety culture across the business. You will review RAMS, deliver training, and support audits and continuous improvement on high‑risk electrical and mechanical activities. This is a hands-on position that links safety policy to on‑site practice on major MEP projects.

Responsibilities
- Provide competent HSE advice to management and project teams
- Monitor compliance with UK H&S legislation and best practice
- Identify significant risks and implement control measures
- Promote a proactive health, safety and wellbeing culture
- Carry out site inspections across projects
- Review RAMS and safe systems of work
- Support development of safe work methods
- Communicate safety information to employees and subcontractors
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Maintain H&S records and assist audits
Key requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- Experience in construction, MEP, electrical or engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation
- Experience reviewing RAMS and safe systems of work
- Experience investigating accidents, incidents and near misses
- Strong understanding of construction site risks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence to work with operatives, supervisors, managers, subcontractors and clients
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between project sites
