1st Step Solutions are supporting one of the UK\’s leading Engineering Services companies who have an opportunity for an Electrical Estimator in Essex.
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our client\’s team, based at their Essex office. The role involves preparing electrical estimates across a variety of sectors, including Residential, Healthcare, Education, Commercial Fit-Outs, and General Commercial Projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and evaluate tender drawings, identifying opportunities for value engineering.
* Manage and contribute to the pre-construction process from start to finish.
* Attend and actively participate in pre-construction meetings.
* Assess project costs before selection, considering complexity, labour, materials, specialist subcontractors, and preliminaries.
* Collaborating with project managers and engineers.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum of 4 years\’ experience within the M&E sector.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project cost drivers.
* In-depth knowledge of electrical installations and systems.
* A BTEC HNC/HND (or equivalent) is advantageous.
