The Role - SEN Tutor / Teaching Assistant

We're looking for dedicated, patient, and proactive individuals to join our team. Working with 1st Staff you will:

  • Support learners aged 4-25 with a range of needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties)
  • Deliver engaging, tailored sessions in core subjects, life skills, or social development
  • Use creative, flexible teaching methods to meet diverse needs
  • Track progress and communicate regularly with families and the 1st Staff team
  • Foster emotional well-being, confidence, and resilience in learners

What We're Looking For

  • Experience with children/young people with SEN (desirable - training available)
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting learning and development
  • Reliability, adaptability, and a learner-first mindset
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Driving license and transport (advantageous, not essential)
