1st Staff are a leading nationwide provider supporting children and young people aged 4–25 with additional educational and therapeutic needs. We're looking for caring, confident tutors to deliver 1:1 Maths and English sessions to students with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD and other learning needs.

What you'll do

Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition in Maths and English (Science opportunities available)
*
Create engaging lesson plans tailored to each student
*
Support learners with a range of needs and behaviours
*
Track progress and provide regular feedback
*
Build positive, trusting relationships with students and families
Role details
*
Locations: Student's home, library, school or community venue
*
Hours: Part‐time or full‐time (most referrals 10–15 hrs/week; full‐time available with multiple students)
*
Contract: PAYE, zero‐hours
What we're looking for
*
Experience working with young people (teaching, tutoring, mentoring etc.)
*
Confidence supporting SEND/SEMH and challenging behaviours
*
Strong communication, patience and empathy
*
Ability to adapt teaching to different learning styles
