Retrofit Designer – Domestic Projects Location: London (Hybrid – 2–3 Days in Office) Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits Overview: A dynamic and respected built environment consultancy is seeking an experienced Retrofit Designer to join its London-based Retrofit Team. You’ll be part of a growing division working on large-scale social housing retrofit projects, helping deliver sustainable design solutions aligned with PAS2035:2023. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the UK’s decarbonisation efforts while creating comfortable, energy-efficient homes for communities across the capital and beyond. Key Responsibilities: * Develop PAS2035:2023-compliant retrofit designs tailored to domestic properties * Analyse Retrofit Assessment data including IOEs, Condition Reports, and ventilation appraisals * Create technical documentation including specs, drawings, ventilation strategies, and sequencing plans * Perform U-value calculations, condensation risk analysis, and thermal bridging assessments * Address design risks, heritage or structural constraints, and propose practical solutions * Work with Retrofit Coordinators to finalise Medium-Term Plans and align with project budgets * Support site inspections, design reviews, and ensure delivery aligns with design intent * Stay informed of updates to retrofit guidance and best practices What You’ll Need: * ARB or MCIAT accredited Architect or equivalent design professional * Proven experience working on domestic retrofit projects under PAS2035 * Strong technical understanding of insulation, ventilation systems, and moisture management * Skilled in Revit/CAD, Microsoft Office (Excel), and digital project platforms (e.g. AirTable) * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Full UK driving licence (occasional travel required) * London-based with 2–3 days per week in the office (hybrid role) What’s on Offer: * 25+ days annual leave with flexibility to buy, sell or carry over * Private medical insurance and GP access * Life assurance, income protection and pension scheme * Volunteering days and mental health support * Tailored career development and learning pathways * Car allowance and performance-related bonus Apply today to join a leading consultancy shaping the future of retrofit design in London and beyond
