1st Select are working with an established property consultancy who are looking to appoint a Graduate Building Surveyor with a strong focus on dilapidations to join its Nottingham team. This role offers the chance to work on a varied commercial portfolio, acting for both landlords and tenants across industrial, office, and retail assets. You’ll be responsible for delivering the full range of dilapidations services, from initial advice through to final settlement, while maintaining strong client relationships and a high technical standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and negotiating Schedules of Dilapidations (interim, terminal, and final)
- Providing strategic dilapidations advice to landlords and tenants
- Assessing liability and loss, and advising on remedies and costs
- Negotiating settlements and supporting dispute resolution
- Carrying out property inspections and condition assessments
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across building surveying and property teams
About You
- Working towards chartership is ideal but not essential
- Proven experience delivering dilapidations services
- Technical knowledge of leases, case law, and best practice
- Confident communicator
- Commercially aware and client-focused
- Full UK driving licence
