Fire Risk Assessor Location: South East England Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £42,000 – £55,000 depending on experience The Role 1st Select are working in partnership with a growing specialist consultancy is looking for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join its expanding team. This is a field-based position covering a range of properties across the South East with the successful candidate responsible for carrying out professional fire risk assessments and producing clear practical reports for clients. You will have a high degree of autonomy in managing your workload and will be expected to maintain a consistently high standard of assessment and reporting. Key Responsibilities * Undertake fire risk assessments across a variety of property types * Inspect premises and identify significant fire safety risks * Provide practical recommendations to reduce identified risks * Prepare clear and accurate written reports * Communicate findings and recommendations professionally with clients * Keep up to date with relevant fire safety legislation, guidance and industry developments * Manage appointments, travel and reporting requirements effectively * Maintain appropriate professional and technical standards About You We're looking for an experienced assessor who can work confidently without close supervision and who takes pride in producing high-quality work. You should have: * Previous experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments * A recognised qualification in fire safety or fire risk assessment * Good knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance * Strong report-writing and communication skills * Excellent attention to detail * The ability to organise your own workload * A full UK driving licence * A professional and client-focused approach Membership of a relevant professional body or additional industry accreditation would be advantageous.
