We are looking for a motivated and reliable Air Tightness Tester to join our growing team based in Leicester. This is a field-based role involving travel to residential and commercial sites across the Midlands and surrounding areas to carry out air permeability (airtightness) testing in accordance with industry standards.
The successful candidate will be professional, detail-oriented and comfortable working independently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Carrying out air tightness testing on residential and commercial properties.
- Setting up and operating blower door testing equipment.
- Producing accurate test reports.
- Liaising professionally with site managers, contractors and clients.
- Ensuring all testing is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with current regulations and company procedures.
- Maintaining testing equipment.
- Representing the company professionally on every site visit.
Applicants must:
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding regions, with occasional overnight stays if required.
- Have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Be comfortable working on active construction sites.
- Possess basic IT skills for completing digital reports.
- Be physically capable of handling testing equipment.
Previous experience carrying out air tightness testing is desirable, along with an ATTMA Level 1 or Level 2 qualification. A valid CSCS Card and experience within the construction or building compliance sector would also be advantageous. Knowledge of Building Regulations Part L and energy efficiency standards is preferred.
