The Opportunity
Our structured training program offers a fantastic opportunity for graduates / undergraduates (or high-achieving individuals from a non-related background) to fast-track a career in the digital data capture & surveying industry. This opportunity is completely unique and is undoubtedly an unparalleled way to forge a progressive career in surveying without the need for a related graduate education.
This training programme will lay the foundations for a career in a variety of different roles such as 3D Surveyor, Land Surveyor, Utility Surveyor, 3D CAD Technician and BIM Technician.
As one of our Trainee Surveyors you will be involved in the 3D data capture, data processing and subsequent CAD/BIM modelling of existing sites. Projects are wide-ranging and the role will be challenging, demanding and varied. Specific survey tasks may include 3D laser scanning, topographical surveys, utility surveys and site setting out.
This program typically takes 12 to 24 months to complete depending on the performance of the individual.
The Role
As one of ourTrainee Surveyorsyou will have the opportunity to explore the following areas of Surveying:
- Detection / the location of underground utilities, subsurface features and structures using Electromagnetic Frequency Locators (EFL) and Ground Penetrating Rada (GPR).
- Topographical mapping of land using precision survey equipment
- Production of 2D/3D CAD & BIM drawings from pointcloud data.
Desirable Qualifications:
- 9 GCSE’s grade A*-C.
- 3 A-levels grade D or above.
- Full clean driving license is essential (access to own vehicle is beneficial).
- Graduate education (desirable but not essential).
- Be progressive, imaginative, and enthusiastic in your work.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- A meticulous nature and acute attention to detail.
- Ability to interact positively with both senior and junior staff.
- Dedicated, committed and positive attitude.
