Support Worker

Maternity cover

30 hours per week

£12.60 per hour

The Role
At Real Life Options we provide person centred support to enable the PWS to live the life that they choose. Support is uniquely tailored to each individual, ensuring they have choice and control over the planning and delivery of their support.You will support them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support, along with encouraging them to develop positive relationships and achieve their goals.

You’ll be working alongside an experienced and friendly team in a role that gives you the opportunity to make a real difference. We’re looking for committed and caring individuals who have great communication skills.

The shifts will consist of day shifts and sleepovers. You will providing direct support to an elderly gentleman, he enjoys being out and about in the community on a daily basis. He enjoys social activities such as going out for meals at the pub, swimming and visiting family.

This role will also involve preparing and administering medication, preparing meals of choice from scratch, attending health care appointments, shopping, providing personal care and helping with finance management and general domestic tasks.

It would be advantageous if you have previous experience of support work, although this is not essential, as full training will be provided.
A full UK driving licences would also be advantageous but is not essential.

An enhanced Adult PVG is required for this role.
