Full Time Support Worker
Location: Bathgate
Hours: 39 hours per week
Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour

The Role

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives? At Real Life Options, we’re looking for a dedicated full-time Support Worker to join our team in Bathgate, providing high-quality, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities.

You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues and a supportive management team to help individuals live fulfilling, independent lives both at home and in the community.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting adults to manage their homes and personal care needs
  • Administering medication, assisting with cooking, housework, and daily routines
  • Promoting independence by maintaining and developing life skills
  • Providing social support and facilitating community involvement, shopping, and recreational activities
  • Following individualised support plans and risk assessments
  • Liaising with health and social care professionals as needed

About the People You’ll Support

  • One individual with epilepsy, mental health needs, and dementia, who may present non-violent behaviours that challenge
  • Two individuals who use wheelchairs – one with a physical disability, the other for social outings only

You’ll play an important role in ensuring each person leads a life that reflects their choices and aspirations.

Shifts

  • A mix of early, late, and waking night shifts
  • Early shifts: 8am, 9am, 10am, or 11am – 3pm
  • Late shifts: 3pm – 9:30pm
  • Waking nights: 9:30pm – 8am

Please ensure you are able to travel to and from the service reliably. Any issues should be raised prior to the second interview.
