The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and structured Xero Trainer to drive adoption and effective use of Xero across both our internal teams and client base. This role sits within our Accounting-as-a-Service division and is critical to ensuring that employees and clients alike are confident, efficient, and self-sufficient when using Xero. You’ll design and deliver training, create scalable learning resources, and act as the internal go‑to expert for Xero‑related knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver structured Xero training programmes for internal teams (Onboarding, Customer Success, Marketing, etc.)
- Create clear, scalable training materials (video tutorials, guides, help centre content) for both internal and client use
- Own onboarding enablement from a Xero perspective—ensuring clients understand how to use the platform effectively from day one; act as the internal subject matter expert for Xero‑related queries and best practices
- Support Customer Success with more complex or recurring Xero‑related queries when needed
- Identify common friction points in how clients and teams use Xero, and proactively address them through training and content
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Onboarding teams to reduce inbound support queries through better education
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands‑on experience with Xero—essential (ideally certified or equivalent practical experience)
- Background in accounting, bookkeeping, or a client‑facing role within an accounting or SaaS environment
- Experience delivering training, workshops, or creating educational content (videos, guides, webinars)
- Ability to explain complex processes in a simple, structured, and user‑friendly way
- Comfortable working in a high‑volume, low‑touch client environment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to build scalable processes
- Proactive mindset: able to identify problems and solve them before they become support issues
