The Role

The Front-End Web Developer is responsible for building and maintaining high-quality, performant web applications across BSQ Group's growing portfolio of websites and products.

This is a hands‑on, mid‑level role for a developer who is fluent in modern front‑end fundamentals and confident translating design into clean, working code.

Working closely with designers and the wider engineering team, you'll turn Figma designs into pixel‑accurate, responsive interfaces, and help build single page applications that are fast, accessible, and easy to maintain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Front-End Development

  • Develop and maintain single page applications (SPAs) with clean, modular, maintainable code
  • Write front-end code that is performant, responsive, and cross‑browser compatible
  • Follow established coding standards and best practices for readability and maintainability
  • Design Implementation
  • Translate Figma designs into accurate, high‑quality front-end code
  • Work closely with designers to ensure visual and interaction details are faithfully implemented
  • Flag design or UX issues early and suggest practical, technically sound solutions
  • Collaboration & Delivery
  • Work alongside other developers, designers, and product stakeholders to deliver features end‑to‑end
  • Participate in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and technical considerations clearly to the wider team
  • Quality & Maintenance
  • Test and debug applications to ensure a smooth, reliable user experience
  • Support ongoing maintenance, bug fixes, and incremental improvements across live sites and applications
  • Contribute to improving front‑end tooling, workflows, and documentation over time
  • What We Are Looking For
  • Solid, hands‑on experience as a Front End Web Developer, building real web applications
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, Java Script, Next. js and Node. js
  • Experience with Payload CMS
  • Proven experience implementing Figma (or similar) designs into accurate, production‑ready code
  • Experience building single page applications (SPAs)
  • Good understanding of responsive design and cross‑browser compatibility
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with designers, developers, and non‑technical stakeholders
  • A methodical, detail‑oriented approach to writing and testing code
  • Good communication skills and a proactive, ownership‑driven attitude

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks
