Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the design system, setting standards for consistency across the product suite
  • Lead design iteration based on feedback, analytics, and user insights, setting the bar for design quality
  • Ensure consistency in branding, UI components, flows, accessibility, and usability across the team's output
  • Translate ambiguous or evolving product requirements into clear, user-friendly design solutions, and help shape those requirements upstream
  • Create prototypes and high-fidelity designs using Figma
  • Independently QA production builds and share results with developers
  • Lead design critique sessions, providing constructive feedback to other designers and helping to raise the overall design bar
  • Ensure UX is embedded end-to-end, validating prototypes and ensuring usability and coherence across the product
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, engineers, marketing, and compliance to ensure design feasibility, performance, and alignment with business goals
  • Lead user research, usability testing, and feedback loops (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Own UX metrics (drop-off, conversion, satisfaction), ensuring they're tracked, improved, and tied to product goals
  • Mentor and support the development of other designers on the team

What we are looking for

  • 8+ years of UX & UI experience, with a track record of increasing ownership and scope
  • Expert user of Figma, able to demonstrate developer-ready files in a portfolio view
  • Strong portfolio across web, mobile, SaaS / enterprise, and platform-level design, showing depth and range at a senior level
  • Proven experience building, owning, or scaling design systems
  • Experience working within a startup or scaleup environment, comfortable with changing requirements and a fast pace
  • Excellent cross-functional communication, with demonstrated ability to influence engineering, product, and marketing at a senior level
  • Experience mentoring or providing design leadership to other designers
  • Familiarity with compliance / regulatory / security constraints in product design
  • Strong analytical mindset, comfortable with A/B testing, metrics, funnel flows, and user research

What We Offer

  • £80-85k and comprehensive benefits package
  • Hybrid working model
  • Real opportunities for progression as the business scales
