An Interim HR Business Partner to join a high-performing global Pharmaceuticals organisation, supporting a critical UK manufacturing operation.

Rate: £43 per hour (8 hours per day, Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Location: County Durham

Duration: Until end of Jan 2027

This is a highly visible role within a complex operational environment where you'll partner with senior leaders to shape culture, drive organisational change, strengthen leadership capability, and deliver a progressive people agenda. You'll operate as a trusted advisor to the business, leading strategic HR initiatives across organisational design, transformation, engagement, talent, capability, and industrial relations.

The Role:

  • Lead large-scale organisational change and restructuring programmes
  • Partner with senior leaders to drive culture, engagement and performance
  • Support leadership development and succession planning
  • Shape workforce and capability planning through data-driven insight
  • Coach and challenge leaders to build inclusive, high-performing teams
  • Manage employee and industrial relations risk, including union engagement
  • Drive talent and diversity initiatives aligned to future business growth
  • Collaborate across HR specialist teams to deliver best-in-class people solutions

Requirements:

  • Strong HR Business Partner / HR Manager experience within a complex organisation
  • Proven experience delivering restructuring and change programmes in the UK
  • Strong industrial relations and union engagement experience
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through ambiguity
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Experience supporting operational, manufacturing, engineering or supply chain environments advantageous
  • Passion for leadership, culture and organisational effectiveness
