Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Extract, clean, and integrate data from a variety of systems (AWS, procurement systems, etc., Hardware Asset and Software Asset Management) to create accurate and insightful reports.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and visualisations in Tableau for use by the procurement category manager, stakeholders and the executive team.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all reports and analyses.

AWS Reporting Integration:

  • Utilise AWS reporting tools (such as Athena and Cost Explorer) to extract and manipulate data.
  • Combine AWS data with other financial and procurement datasets to create holistic insights across the organisation.
  • Automate data pipelines where possible to improve efficiency and reliability and reduce human errors.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with procurement colleagues, finance, and IT teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Present findings and insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring actionable recommendations are highlighted.

Process Optimization:

  • Review utilisation of supplier commitments and provide advanced analytics, highlighting usage risks.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within the reporting and analytics workflows.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the team's data analysis strategies.

Your present skillset:

  • Degree in Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • 8+ years proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in procurement or financial functions.
  • Strong understanding of AWS reporting, including the ability to consume and integrate data from AWS.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with SQL or other database query languages.
  • Experience with Python or other programming languages for data manipulation and automation.
  • Proficiency in Tableau or similar reporting/visualisation tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Coupa, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cloud computing and data storage best practices.
  • Experience in building automated data pipelines and ETL processes.
