Overview

An Interim Procurement Advisor to own Counterparty Due Diligence (CDD) processes, for one of the most significant energy redevelopment projects in the Middle East. This leading Energy organisation is building a world-class procurement capability to support a major oil and gas redevelopment in the Middle East. This is a rare opportunity to oversee CDD and act as the SME for Sourcing, Contracting and Negotiations.

You will join a centralised support team, working closely with in-country partners and international stakeholders as a trusted advisor on bid and contract compliance. This is a high-visibility role for a procurement professional who thrives on governance, risk management and commercial integrity in complex, high-value project environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own and oversee Counterparty Due Diligence (CDD) processes, ensuring robust screening of suppliers, subcontractors and JV partners
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with contractual obligations, local regulations and internal governance standards
  • Maintain accurate due diligence and compliance records across procurement systems
  • Develop and maintain procurement templates, guidance and best-practice tools
  • Manage procurement risk processes, risk registers and mitigation controls
  • Build team capability through training, coaching and knowledge-sharing
  • Monitor compliance metrics and proactively identify and resolve risks

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in Oil & Gas procurement, ideally within procurement excellence, compliance or risk-focused roles
  • Strong expertise in CDD, supplier due diligence, anti-bribery, AML and sanctions compliance
  • Solid understanding of contracting, supplier management and project execution
  • Proven ability to operate independently in fast-paced, multi-cultural environments
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement platforms
