An experienced Senior Commercial Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the early-stage commercial strategy, pre-procurement, for a major UK Government organisation's Construction Infrastructure portfolio. This is a high-profile interim assignment where your expertise will directly influence how critical national infrastructure is designed, taken to market, and delivered.
You will be at the very front-end of the commercial lifecycle, providing strategic leadership across framework design, market engagement, delivery model assessment, and strategic outline development. This role is particularly well suited to someone with strong commercial experience in materials manufacturing infrastructure projects, and who thrives in complex, regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead early-stage, pre-procurement commercial strategy for large-scale infrastructure projects
- Shape frameworks and delivery model design
- Define and influence market and sourcing strategies
- Provide commercial insight within a highly regulated environment
- Proven, very early-stage, pre-procurement commercial experience within Infrastructure (Construction / Facilities)
- Strong track record in pre-procurement strategy development and framework design
- Gravitas to influence senior and executive stakeholders
- Experience in regulated industries
- Comfortable navigating complex, high-impact strategic challenges
- Experience in a materials manufacturing environment or Manufacturing Capex would be a bonus
