A major Public Sector organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager, with strong SRM, to lead high-level partnerships across complex construction and commercial programmes. This is a senior, strategically focused role requiring exceptional stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and the ability to operate confidently across government and industry environments.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor and relationship lead, working across senior leadership teams, suppliers, delivery partners and government stakeholders to strengthen strategic partnerships, improve outcomes, and support long‑term programme delivery.
The Role- Lead and manage strategic relationships across complex construction and commercial environments
- Influence senior stakeholders across government, supply chain and partner organisations
- Drive collaborative working, governance and long‑term partnership performance
- Identify risks, opportunities and delivery challenges proactively
- Translate complex information into clear strategic insight for decision‑makers
- Support commercial and delivery objectives within large‑scale infrastructure or construction programmes
- Operate autonomously within a high‑profile, outcome‑focused environment
- Proven experience in Supplier Relationship Management, senior stakeholder engagement or partnership leadership roles
- Strong construction sector and commercial experience, including knowledge of supply chains and delivery environments
- Experience working within or alongside government/public sector organisations
- Strong understanding of governance, assurance and accountability frameworks
- Excellent influencing and communication skills with credibility at senior/executive level
- Ability to manage competing priorities across complex stakeholder landscapes
- Commercially astute, proactive and solutions‑focused
- NEC contract knowledge highly desirable
