I am currently recruiting a Procurement role for a public sector organisation who works across London, Surrey and Sussex. The role is to support the end-to-end procurement process in line with public sector regulations and best practice. This includes sourcing suppliers, running tender processes, and ensuring value for money while maintaining transparency and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years procurement experience gained within the public sector and really enjoy what they do and making a difference to people's lives.
Responsibility Summary- Manage procurement activities from planning through to contract award
- Develop and issue tenders, RFQs, and ITTs in line with procurement regulations
- Evaluate supplier bids using defined criteria and ensure a fair process
- Build and maintain supplier relationships
- Monitor contract performance
- Ensure adherence to public sector procurement policies
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies across spend categories
- Experience in procurement within the public sector.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
