Overview
In this role you will own a high-profile grocery retailer account, developing the partnership and driving commercial performance for a growing food manufacturer. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align supply, product, and retail strategies. The position offers the opportunity to shape outcomes with leading UK retailers and own-label initiatives. You will bring proactive, commercially focused account leadership to deliver measurable value for both the retailer and the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a major grocery retailer account (e.g., Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury's, etc.)
- Develop and maintain strong retailer relationships and identify commercial opportunities
- Drive revenue, margin, and trading performance through effective negotiation and planning
- Coordinate with internal functions (sales, supply chain, marketing, QA) to deliver on retailer requirements
- Monitor performance metrics and implement action plans to improve results
- Manage own-label product discussions and opportunities
- Prepare business reviews and present recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
Key requirements
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or fresh foods
- Proven track record managing a major grocery retailer account
- Experience working with UK retailers
- Strong commercial awareness and customer relationship skills
