I am currently recruiting for a Category Executive so support a Category Manager/Buyer in driving sales, margin, and market share within a defined product category. The role involves supplier management, range planning, promotional execution, and data analysis to ensure the category meets its commercial objectives
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Category Manager in delivering category strategy and annual plans.Support product range reviews, new product development, and product lifecycle management.Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, negotiations, and queries.Track category sales performance, stock levels, margins, and competitor activity.Ensure accurate product information, pricing, and availability across all sales channels.Support promotional planning, including price reductions, marketing campaigns, and in-store/online activations.Monitor consumer and market trends to identify growth opportunities.Collaborate with supply chain, marketing, finance, and operations teams to deliver results.Prepare regular reports and presentations on category performance and insights.
Skills required
Strong analytical and numerical ability (Excel proficiency essential).Commercial awareness with an understanding of retail/FMCG dynamics.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.Team player with cross-functional collaboration skills.Problem-solving mindset with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Experience
Bachelor\’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).1-3 years\’ experience in buying, merchandising, category management, or a similar role.Experience in FMCG/retail/e-commerce is an advantage.Strong IT skills: MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Exposure to ERP or retail systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
