Our client, an award-winning UK Tech Solutions firm, is looking to recruit an Indirect/IT Procurement Manager to join their greenfield procurement function. This is a fantastic career development opportunity for an individual with IT Procurement experience to join a fast paced, PE backed organisation with significant growth appetite.
We are searching for a skilled IT Procurement professional who has broad experience buying across IT and non-IT (indirects) categories. The procurement department is going through a period of change, moving from tactical and reactive buying to supporting the business in achieving their future objectives and implementing strategic category buying plans. The role will have 3 direct reports and will be responsible for the development and upskilling of the team as well as working with all levels of stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the procurement team
- Application and ongoing enhancement of the procurement policy to align with best practice developments.
- Management of contracts in line with ESG principles ensuring best practice is adopted.
- Delivering sustainable savings across the supply base.
- Working collaboratively with business leaders to establish supplier plans that enable the delivery of efficiency / transformation programmes.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Assist the delivery of a category management model with appropriate controls.
Experience:
- Demonstrable experience of IT Procurement, gained in a similar fast paced PE backed environment.
- Proven experience in managing lean procurement teams.
- Confident communicator with an engaging personality – capable of developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across all business units
- An enquiring nature with a desire to meet leftfield challenges head on.
- Ideally Degree & MCIPS qualified
